Yahg
Yahg are an intelligent humanoid race from the planet Parnak, known for their brutality and aggressiveness. As unmatched predators, yahg possess impressive sensory perception and mental adaptation.
Biology
Yahg have evolved to fill the predator niche on Parnak. They possess four pairs of eyes designed for tracking and predicting the movements of their prey. Their high sensitivity to motion and light allows yahg to easily read the body language of any species, making it impossible to lie to them.
Yahg have large, muscular bodies that provide them with significant physical strength and agility. They have scaly, partially armored skin ranging from red to brown, two large horns, facial markings, and three fingers on both their hands and feet.
Interesting, but how are they structured internally?
The Prothean Javik claims that during his cycle fifty thousand years ago, yahg were much smaller.
History
When the Citadel Council inspectors discovered Parnak in 2125, the yahg civilization was at a pre-interstellar travel level with technology equivalent to that of Earth in the 20th century. The Council envoys made contact with the yahg to try to establish diplomatic relations.
Unfortunately, the yahg found it audacious that the envoys acted from a position of equals rather than subordinates, and they attacked and annihilated the entire delegation. The Citadel Council severed all contacts with the yahg and banned communication with the planet Parnak. The Council believes that the yahg's aggression and obsession with dominance make them unsuitable for integration into the galactic community.
It seems that yahg have biotic abilities.
The Illusive Man ([Mass Effect 2](/games?search=Mass Effect 2))
Some time after the Council discovered Parnak, agents of the Illusive Man attempted to abduct several yahg for study. Some had to be killed before the agents found a yahg willing to leave the planet. It turned out that yahg, like salarians, possess high intelligence and impressive learning abilities, but their lifespan is significantly longer.
The Illusive Man made a yahg his secret operative and placed him at the head of a strike team responsible for intelligence gathering and threat neutralization. However, the yahg's brutal nature soon became a problem, and orders were given for its termination. Somehow, the yahg managed to kill the Illusive Man and take his place, naturally canceling the order for its destruction.
How many more of such "Illusive Men" are scattered across the Galaxy?
To this day, no agent of the Illusive Man knew of the substitution. The yahg was an Illusive Man for sixty years, earning a fearsome reputation. Many agents who entered his office were never seen again.
The true nature of the Illusive Man was revealed in 2185 when Captain Shepard and Liara T'Soni raided his base in an attempt to rescue the drell Feron, whom the Illusive Man had been torturing for the past two years for betrayal. The encounter with Shepard became fateful for the yahg.

A salarian research facility on Sur'Kesh captured several yahg and experimented on them. The salarians secretly aimed to push the yahg towards development and, as with the krogan, pull their chestnuts out of the fire while having the ability to deny everything.
During the "Cerberus" attack on Sur'Kesh, one yahg managed to escape. In a fit of rage, he killed several "Cerberus" soldiers. Unfortunately, his fate is unknown. It is unlikely that he succeeded in leaving the salarian home planet.
The yahg theme is not fully explored!
Admiral Hackett notes that the Reapers bypassed Parnak without destroying the yahg civilization. He suggested that if the Reapers succeeded in defeating and erasing existing space races from the galaxy, in the next cycle, yahg could play an important role, as they were practically finished building their first starship.
Culture
Yahg society is built on a herd mentality. A group of yahg will not cooperate until a leader is determined by any means, whether through social maneuvering or brute force. Once a leader is established, other yahg back down without contesting his supremacy, fully loyal to their leader.
It seems yahg possess biotic powers. This can be inferred from the only representative we encountered — the Illusive Man.
Yahg have not yet developed their interstellar travel technology, although they are nearing completion to become a spacefaring race. In Mass Effect 3, it is mentioned that yahg are practically finished building their first spaceship. I wonder what it looks like?
Yahg Worlds
The yahg's home planet is Parnak. Only the Citadel Council and those close to it know where it is located. The only thing known about it is that the yahg dominate it.
There is no information on what the atmosphere is like on the planet, but it is likely not too different from that which most races are accustomed to.
The protheans had two pairs of eyes and ruled the Galaxy. What will yahg rule with?
Something else:
The most famous yahg is the Illusive Man. To be more precise, this is the only representative of the race with whom we have interacted at all. Despite the yahg's pack instincts, this being felt quite comfortable in solitude, managing a vast spy network. The Illusive Man is a prime example of how dangerous yahg can become if they become a spacefaring race. They are not inferior to krogan in strength but are much smarter and more capable. Perhaps when yahg break free from Parnak, a new war will begin.
In any case, very little is revealed about yahg in the first three games. Nothing is known about the planet of their origin or where it is located. The Citadel Council guards this knowledge to shield space travelers from contact with the warlike race. Is this a good thing? After all, the longer they are kept in isolation, the greater the likelihood that the yahg will pose a threat in the future. Or are they being watched? I hope that in the future all our questions will be answered.
