"Portaat": rikostarina, jossa jokainen valinta muuttaa tarinan
Friends of "Berloga" from the Russian indie game development team "Hyviä pelejä" have completed the first version of their new game "Tikapuut" in the genre of Orthodox mystical realism. The official release is scheduled for the end of 2026, and in the meantime, the team invites those interested to participate in closed testing.
The role-playing game unfolds in the atmosphere of a provincial town in the Russian North at the beginning of the 2000s. Traditional mechanics: investigations, quests, time travel have merged with something new: the inner struggle of the hero and his spiritual journey. At the center of the plot is a 17-year-old boy whose father is accused of stealing a precious relic. While investigating the crime, he finds himself transported from the present to the times of feudal disunity, where he uncovers the roots of modern events. Every decision made by the player shapes the character's personality, unlocks new plot branches, and influences the ending.
*"The project "Tikapuut" is a profound story about growing up, faith, memory, and the search for one's own path among urban legends, human fates, and hidden wonders of everyday life. The project aims to promote spiritual and moral values, instill in young players a sense of unity, friendship, and responsibility for their country and city. The aesthetics of the early 2000s, cozy courtyards, old panel houses, and the special atmosphere of the era create a vivid sense of nostalgia for childhood and youth," said the project leader *Vladimir Molodykh.
"For us, the emergence of projects like "Tikapuut" is important. They show that the Russian game development industry is capable of working not only with commercial genres but also with profound cultural meanings. At the same time, we understand that grant support is an important stage, but the further development of the project depends on the quality of the game and the interest of the players. This is yet another signal that the industry is developing in the right direction," said the CEO of APRIORI Alexander Mikheev.
