The charming dhampir (half-vampire) Rayne was born from the unnatural union of a human and a vampire. Possessing the strength and agility of a vampire and fated to drink the blood of the living and fear the sunlight, Rayne will side with the forces of good in the game BloodRayne 2.
We last met Rayne in 1935, when the dhampir destroyed Nazi scientists seeking world domination. Her father, Kaigen, the main ally of the Nazis, was killed at the end of World War II. Missing the chance to end him personally, Rayne spent the next 60 years hunting and destroying his offspring, her brothers and sisters. The remaining survivors united and founded the Kaigen Cult, vowing to fulfill his will. This marked a new era of vampire rule, where humans were relegated to the role of cattle for the blood-sucking predators. Soon, the Cult created the Savan, a mysterious substance that, when introduced into the atmosphere, would make deadly sunlight completely harmless to vampires. Now, only Rayne stands between unsuspecting humanity and the horrifying dawn of the vampires.
