Half-Life 2 Mod Overview - Neo Tokyo
Neo Tokyo is a mod for Half-Life 2 created by the team Studio Radi-8. Today, we will examine the gameplay, graphical design, and other interesting features of the game.
Gameplay
Once you join a server, you will need to choose a side, class, and character model. There are 3 available classes which we will discuss later. For each class and side, there are 3 unique models. After choosing your side, class, and model, you need to select your primary weapon. Weapons are unlocked as you reach the next rank, and it's worth noting that when changing maps, everyone begins at the rank of Private.
Ranks (Thanks to qazqazqaz):
**Rankless Dog** - negative score (killed teammates), minimal weapons available.
Private - score of less than 4 points, standard weaponry available.
Corporal - 4 points, new weapons unlocked.
Sergeant - 10 points, yet more weapons.
Lieutenant - 20 points, maximum weaponry.
After selecting your weapon, you will join the game. You can switch squads using keys 5-9 on your keyboard. After the round starts, you need to complete a specific objective on that map or eliminate all enemies. The choice is yours.

Sides, Classes, and Models
In the game, you will encounter two opposing sides: JINRAI and NSF. There are three classes for you to play: Recon (Stealth Forces), Assault (Attack Forces), and Support (Support Forces). Each of these has its own models:
Recon:

Assault:

Support:

Now let's talk in detail about each class:
Recon - a class designed for stealth attacks or completing objectives. It has light armor, Thermoptic camouflage, night vision goggles, and an explosive kit. Moves quickly, has infinite sprint, and can jump far. Number of available weapons: from 3 to 9.
Assault - a class designed for frontal attacks on opponents. It has medium armor, Thermoptic camouflage, a motion detection device (Motion Visor), and grenades. Moves at medium speed, has limited sprint. Number of available weapons: from 6 to 12.
Support - a class designed to support attacking forces. It has heavy armor, thermal vision, and 2 smoke grenades. Does not have camouflage. Moves slowly and has no sprinting ability. Number of available weapons: from 5 to 12.
About Camouflage and Special Devices
Camouflage has a limited charge for a few seconds. For the Recon class - 13 seconds, for the Assault class - 9 seconds.

Special devices (Thermal Visors, etc.) do not require charges. They can be used at any time.

Running (Assault) and long jumps (Recon) require energy (Aux power).
Weaponry
There are two types of weapons in the game: primary (Assault Rifles, Shotguns), secondary (Pistols), and special (Grenades, Detonators). Primary weapons, as mentioned above, are unlocked during gameplay.

I will not provide a list of weapons and their parameters; you can find it on the official website.
Game Modes
The game features 2 modes: Team Deathmatch (TDM) and Capture the Ghost (CTG). The first mode is simple - you need to eliminate all enemies. In the second mode, you need to capture the Ghost and carry it to a specific point on the map. To pick up the ghost, you need to press the Z key on your keyboard (You will drop your primary weapon and carry the ghost on your back). While carrying the ghost, you will be marked on the screen to enemies with a dot, so it's better to move as a team (You have the ability to see opponents from 40+ meters away when the Ghost is in your hands, even through walls). Also, while carrying, you can use a pistol and knife.

Other Information
The game has lean left and right. If there are bullets in the magazine while reloading, they will be lost. There is also an alternate firing mode for some types of weapons.
You can activate bots in the game with the console command bot\_add. They are quite dumb without navigation files, which unfortunately are not generated in Neo Tokyo; we create them manually =)
Graphics
The game runs smoothly with 16x anti-aliasing at a resolution of 1280x1024 (you can see the configuration in the profile or in the spoiler). Excellent textures and models. The style truly reminds one of the anime Ghost in the Shell.
Unfortunately, the game does not support DX8.
**Processor**: Intel Pentium 4 531, 3.4GHz.
Video: Nvidia GeForce 8600GTS 512 with overclocking.
Memory: 2Gb.
Conclusion
An excellent multiplayer mod, decent action. This mod can easily take up several hours of your free time. Unfortunately, I couldn't find Russian servers, so I had to test the mod on a foreign server where it lagged quite a bit. The game also requires the Source SDK Base installed.
