Offline post editor for Gamer.ru [ver 2.1.5]
New Version: [post]Offline Post Editor for Gamer.ru [ver 2.6.3][/post]
[cut]
Several months have passed since the release of the previous version of the offline editor (1.8.6). And now, the new version has come to light and is eager to reach you.
I haven't added new tags yet, as they don't make sense without interaction with the site, and they aren't used that often. But I already have an idea for their implementation, so we wait, hope, believe, write your wishes and bugs found. ;)
Versions
**Download** (2.3 MB) if you have JRE installed.
**Download** (2.3 MB) if you don't want to install JRE. But you need an unpacked JRE folder next to it (you can get it here — 34.8 MB). The folder must be named jre6.
Features
In the offline post editor for Gamer.ru, you can write and format posts for subsequent publication on the site. The text prepared in it can be immediately published (after uploading images to the site in the usual way and processing the upload result in the editor).
The program not only replicates the functionality of the site editor but also allows creating posts without internet access, while giving an approximate idea of how the post will look on the site.
The program can open (including simple drag-and-drop) and save (including automatically) text files, add images (with preview). From this version, it is possible to import files using MS Word.
Among the pleasant features — there is a tag for placing several small images in a row (you need to frame the images/text that you want to place in a row). Unfortunately, the preview for this tag is currently poorly implemented.
For user convenience, there is now a settings file. No more having to repeatedly navigate through the necessary folders in file selection dialogs and configure auto-save.
Fixes and Improvements
In the dialogs for adding images and opening files, a preview with size (for images and resolution) of the opened file has been added.
A settings file has been created (automatically in the program's folder on the first launch; contains auto-save parameters, saving previews with css, loading image ids, and the recent directories in the file selection dialogs for opening, importing, and saving files). If any parameter is changed, you will be prompted to save the new settings before exiting.
Important! In testing mode, HTML file import generated by MS Word has been added when saving the file as a "web page". For those who don’t want to deal with converting, there is an option to import text from .doc and .docx files (standard Word formats).
When selecting a .doc(x) file, the program calls the installed Word on the computer, which converts the file to HTML (saved in the same location as the program, in the "import" folder) and the text is taken from this web page.
The import has been tested on Word 2007 (doc, docx, html) and Word 2003 (only html).
Lists, tables, bold, italic, strikethrough, and underlined text, images, links, and text alignment are all processed. Of course, it doesn’t look as nice as if you frame the text with tags yourself, but it’s quite decent. Now you’ll spend less time dealing with tags. :)
Now you can add images only if they are less than 1MB, just like on the site (other images simply won’t display in the dialog window). However, if you add images via the "image" button, selecting the "All files" filter will allow you to add larger files.
The s tag is displayed correctly.
The spoiler=<any_text_except_theclosingsquare_bracket> tag is now processed just like spoiler.
If the preview is not created, the option to save it is blocked.
An error during preview creation does not
