Warface is a multiplayer team shooter from Crytek. The game was developed by three studios located in Kyiv, Seoul, and Frankfurt. The game engine is based on CryEngine 3 technology, which looked quite impressive at the time of release (April 12, 2012).
The events of the game take place in the future, where powerful nations once again embark on the path of war. Conflicts occur in various parts of the world, throwing players into both destroyed cities and lush jungles. Shooting, explosions, a frantic pace, and even an invasion of combat robots await those gamers who decide to take a break from other projects and immerse themselves in a dynamic gaming experience.
Warface can be divided into two parts.
The first part is PvP. Players must fight and compete against each other in various modes, which include both team battles and solo modes familiar to everyone, such as "Everyone Against Everyone." As soldiers participate in the fight for the glory of one side, they earn experience, "warbucks" (the in-game currency), and support points, which they can use in tough situations (similar to the latest Call of Duty titles). Gradually leveling up and accumulating money, fighters can purchase new types of weapons, various modules for them, and all sorts of useful consumables.
The second component of Warface is the PvE mode. A very interesting concept that suggests completing a series of missions with a team of players. Overall, all tasks are structured according to a certain principle – you need to get from point A to point B, destroy all enemy bots, board the helicopter, and fly back to the base, where you can take a break from work and have a beer. During the mission, you encounter various enemies: regular soldiers with automatic weapons, snipers, machine gunners, and shield bearers covered with police shields, and that's not all. Occasionally, really strong enemies appear, known as Juggernauts. These heavy machine gunners, fully clad in armor, were affectionately called Jugurda by players in their time – named after a well-known actor who generated a storm of "lulz" on the internet. Juggernauts can give gamers a lot of trouble, but it’s much easier to kill them than to destroy the robotic systems called "Thunder." Combat bipedal robots can wipe out an entire team in seconds. By the way, players earn significantly more experience and "warbucks" for participating in the PvE mode.
Warface features four playable classes: Assault, Sniper, Engineer, and Medic. The Assault soldier can handle a lot of weapons and carries a wealth of useful items that he can share with his teammates. Snipers lack any special abilities but are very valued in battle for their ability to eliminate targets at long distances. Engineers can repair armor and set explosives for later detonation, while Medics can heal teammates and even revive fallen fighters.
