There are no channels, boss respawns are no longer 5 minutes but several hours, and the items from them provide an additional boost to leveling speed and already decent money. Moreover, the weapons dropped from the old named are already worn out (15-20 level weapons).
So, successful 24 level weapons with bonuses drop here specifically from the named enemies, which is quite rare to catch with the main mass having made it this far. These weapons are worth enhancing above +3 (4-6 is quite enough to sustain them until the quest for the 32 blue weapon), breaking some unnecessary dropped gear.
Bosses are defeated by parties and are slightly stronger than the bosses of the previous island.
Essentially, these islands are a turning point in the game and the last location where you can avoid getting hit.
Moreover, after completing all the unique quests here and getting the necessary items first, you will level up almost instantly by 3 levels and can then head to the mainland. There are also no channels there, and rifts (one-way portals to the corresponding enemy island) often open up - Yelten/Morheim.
You can also choose imbalanced mobs here (reduced HP), grind them for 2 levels, and then head to the free PvP zone - Abyss.
