"The Witcher 3". Walkthrough. Act II: The Great Battle (Part 2)
So, it's time to stop hiding and give Eredin's army an open fight. But first, we still need to visit some friends, invite them to hunt the Wild Hunt in the forests of northern Kaedwen, and, of course, bring Ciri to Kaer Morhen. When the daughter is nearby and in sight, the father’s soul is definitely calmer.

Note. All quests from the "Brothers in Arms" series (see below) are considered main ones, but are actually additional and optional. Even if you ignore them, completing the main storyline will not become impossible. Just without the help of friends, the battle with the Wild Hunt will be a significantly more challenging test. And you won’t get the experience that is due for completing these tasks.
BROTHERS IN ARMS: NILFGAARD
Recommended level: 22
This quest will start automatically after completing the main quests "Va Fail, Elaine" and "The Ugly One". It must be completed before Geralt goes to the Isle of Mist, otherwise it will move to the failed category.
We go to Vyzima to Emhyr var Emreis to ask for help in the upcoming battle against the Wild Hunt. The emperor of Nilfgaard will receive Geralt in his office. Unfortunately, the witcher and the emperor will not come to an agreement, and we will not be able to count on the help of Nilfgaardian soldiers for the defenders of Kaer Morhen, alas. The quest will end with the conclusion of the audience.
Tip. Don’t rush to leave Emhyr's office after the quest is over. Take advantage of the finally presented opportunity to loot the emperor's desks, cabinets, and dressers.
BROTHERS IN ARMS: VELEN
Recommended level: 22
This quest will start automatically after completing the main quests "Va Fail, Elaine" and "The Ugly One". It must be completed before Geralt goes to the Isle of Mist, otherwise it will move to the failed category.
To complete this quest, we need to:
1. complete the entire quest line of Keira Metz in Velen and at the end of the quest "For the Benefit of Science" send her to Kaer Morhen;
2. complete the quest line of Letho (only if he is considered alive in your game) and at the end of the quest "Ghosts of the Past" send him to Kaer Morhen.
If at the time of activating the quest "Brothers in Arms: Velen" the first (if Letho is originally considered dead in your game) or both conditions were met, the quest will immediately move to completed category.
BROTHERS IN ARMS: NOVIGRAD
Recommended level: 22
This quest will start automatically after completing the main quests "Va Fail, Elaine" and "The Ugly One". It must be completed before Geralt goes to the Isle of Mist, otherwise it will move to the failed category.
1. Complete the quests of **Triss Merigold** – "A Matter of Life and Death" and "Now or Never". Even if you did not confess your love to Triss and let her sail to Kovir, the stages of the current quest related to the red-haired sorceress will be considered completed.
2. Who else can we turn to? Of course, to Zoltan Chivay. Look for him at the entrance to the herbarium "Sage and Rosemary"/Chameleon or inside the establishment on the first floor. As you may guess, you won’t have to persuade your friend for long. He will immediately agree to help as soon as he hears your request.
3. Also, check on Dijkstra. He's in his office at the baths. Personally taking part in defending Kaer Morhen, the former spy will definitely refuse, as he's not much of a fighter, and the witcher fortress is outside of his sphere of influence. However, if during the main quest "The Treasure of Count Reuven" Geralt managed to learn from Menge where the stolen loot is, Dijkstra will help the witcher financially: he will give 1000 crowns, a couple of large runestones, and a random blueprint, and the game will additionally grant 50 XP. If White Wolf failed to find out the fate of the stolen money, he will receive nothing from Dijkstra.
4. There's also another person to whom Geralt owes something – Vernon Roche, the commander of the Blue Stripes. Look for him in the refuge of Temerian partisans: from the big bonfire at the entrance, turn left and walk all the way to the end of the cave. If you complete his quest "Eye for an Eye" and Bianca ends up surviving, he won’t refuse Geralt's request. Moreover, in Kaer Morhen, Vernon will arrive together with Bianca.
As soon as you visit all four of the mentioned characters and complete their personal quests if necessary, the "Brothers in Arms: Novigrad" quest will be considered completed.
BROTHERS IN ARMS: SKELIGE
Recommended level: 22
This quest will start automatically after completing the main quests "Va Fail, Elaine" and "The Ugly One". It must be completed before Geralt goes to the Isle of Mist, otherwise it will move to the failed category.
1. First of all, we need to complete the entire quest line of **the clan an Krait**. Without this, we won’t be able to ask for help from either Hjalmar, Cerys, or Kraht.
Attention.
If you activated the current quest before activating the side quest "Coronation", you can talk to all the an Krait immediately after the ceremony at the Oak Gedyneit. Look for them on the platform under the tree.
If you activated the current quest after completing the side quest "Coronation", find each of the an Krait in their personal chambers at Kaer Trolld.
Having passed through the banquet hall, we enter the corridor. We need the door on the left. However, it is the only one in this corridor that opens.
After entering the corridor leading to the banquet hall, turn right, through the only door at its end, enter the staircase and go up to the second floor, where the rooms of Hjalmar and Cerys are located.
2. Talk to Kraht an Krait. He will offer to bring Ciri to Skellige and give battle to both the Wild Hunt and the
