Cinematic Mod - the best mod for Half-Life 2
What is Cinematic Mod?
It is a modification for the entire [Half-Life 2](/games?search=Half-Life 2) series, making the game more visually appealing and darker. The goal of this mod is to replace all textures with cinematic ones, as well as the music with something more suitable for what is happening on the screen.
Since this mod replaces all textures with HD textures, what are the requirements?
For the first five versions, the requirements were not very high, probably the same as with the original textures. However, the latest ones require much more powerful hardware:

At least 3 GB of RAM.
A fast dual-core processor (or better, a quad-core).
64-bit OS.
Additionally, you need the original game without mods.
Who makes this mod?
This mod is made by a person using the pseudonym FakeFactory. His real name is Juergen Vierheilig, he is 43 years old and lives in Germany. He works in IT services (advertising services). He started making this mod as practice while studying modeling. This can be seen in his early versions.
Now, let's go into more detail about the mod, starting from the first one.
