Photo Report: Two Days of "Igroprom - 2024"

It would not be an exaggeration to say that gamers, starved for the absence of "Igromir," eagerly awaited "Igroprom": especially since last year's exhibition was a great success, and as we know, there is never too much gaming. Where else can one learn about new games if not at such an event?

Of course, not only with games: gamers will always find something to keep themselves occupied: they can chat with like-minded individuals, talk to developers, listen to themed lectures, watch cosplayers, buy something interesting, and participate in tournaments. In fact, I attempted to create a small photo report on how it all went.

It is her, Anna Kozlova, that gamers should thank for organizing "Igroproms."

This game immediately caught my attention with its "artwork." Later, I found out that it could be played with several characters, each having different development paths; either solo or in a team.

"Spear's Song" was already present at last year's "Igroprom," and over the year the mechanics have improved. Shall we play?

That rare case when the image on the stand is of much higher quality than the gaming "artwork." However, Rome wasn't built in a day...

Judging by the sword in the girl's hands, childhood was not easy.

Those who did not want to sit in front of a PC monitor chose other activities...

Virtual duels,

racing,

or even flying. And it was possible to fly not only from the pilot's cabin!

Would you like to be a crow? No? Then a football player or a hockey player?

But the biggest esports battle unfolded on the big stage...

Tabletop game fans also found things to their liking.

Tired visitors could try to replenish their strength with an energy drink. "Try" because they were only giving out one sip: you could taste the flavor, but not feel the effect.

However, at another place, it was possible to win a can of energy drink in a fair contest: who can get through the maze first?

And, of course, in a rather unfortunate tradition (perhaps the worst one!) of "Igromir," there was a gaming route...

And in the tradition of "Igroprom" - a job wall.

Tired bodies were revived by the drums' beat.

Tired eyes were taken care of by optometrists.

Mood was lifted by a robot dog and cats.

There were miniatures and...

mini gamers.

Whether the predator wanted to buy something or scare the seller.

On the second floor - a paradise for retro gamers...

"Wolfenstein 3D"

"Doom" (And what about the 'system unit'!)

"Hexen" (The girl could hardly handle the controls.)

"Dangerous Dave in [the Haunted](/games?search=the Haunted) Mansion"

"[Duke Nukem](/games?search=Duke Nukem) 3D"

And even a tournament for "Doom!"

Those not interested in retro games could attend lectures on how to create games.

Kolovrat was featured at "Igroprom" a year ago, and the developers are striving for perfection.

On the extreme right is Oleg-Olaf Goodwin, the creator of the game "Petka and Vasily Ivanovich." (It was a pity that the book publishers did not bring it to "Igroprom": if possible, the opportunity to have "The History of Russian Computer Games" signed by the authors would have flown off the shelves.)

What event dedicated to games could be complete without cosplay? "Igroprom" was no exception.

Nothing special in my opinion, but the judges thought otherwise...

I was convinced that she would get one of the prizes...

An interesting nickname was chosen for this character. Harold is actually doing well, but his face looks sad. Karla displays constant optimism on the outside, hiding inner pain and a potentially sad ending...
