Ulasan edisi Amerika dari Diablo: "Kotak Hitam Besar Saya"
Ehei, gentlemen!
After a 2-month break (you know, life), my hands were itching to write something. Something heartfelt and kind, to bring tears of joy to the eyes. Since the bulk of the material about [Diablo III](/games?search=Diablo III) has already been published, and new content hasn't particularly trickled in yet, I decided to tell you about Diablo, but about a different one. The thing is, last summer I had a huge, simply immense joy: I received HER as a gift! The most wonderful box in the world, the value of which will only be understood by a true fan of the Diablo series. Happiness happens in life, you know, but in this case, it was just a celebration! In general, you already understand how excited I am, let's better talk about the subject. And the subject is simply called: Diablo..
Smile, it annoys everyone!
Yes-yes, you heard right! I have on my desk The Very Box from 1997, a U.S. release in a big and delicious retail box. Even despite its wear, this box is wonderful. Inside it lies... probably, a bit of my childhood, my impressionability, my delight. Fear, inspiration, despair at not beating a hard boss, and joy when that boss is finally defeated. It’s a beautiful box, and every little scratch on it only emphasizes how long ago that was. And how great.
For me, the Diablo series began with the first part of the game, and I sincerely sympathize with everyone who got acquainted with it from the second part or will meet the third part. Gentlemen, to say that you missed a lot is to say absolutely nothing. This box made history, opened new horizons for a developing genre, without which it is simply impossible to imagine the modern gaming industry. If there was something like the Holy Grail in the computer game world, I would probably say that this box is definitely a piece of that Grail. I cannot help but carry this sentimental nonsense because back then, in 1997, when I just started playing games, this box changed my perception of them forever. It pushed me to continue playing, to complete the second part, to visit forums, and eventually, to end up here. Without it, everything would have been different. But back then, 13 years ago, I didn't have it, I only had the game disc. And now - here it is, lying darkly on my desk, so dear, loved from afar, and wonderfully old. Diablo..
It was sold in millions and loved by the whole world.
It should be noted that although Blizzard released several versions of Diablo, the most valuable is the original first U.S. release. Since there are plenty of editions and re-editions of Diablo, despite its age, I will now tell you in more detail how it differs from others and how to identify it in the crowd. The original first U.S. edition of Diablo is packaged in what is called a retail box (retail means retail, but calling this wonderful box a 'retail box'... kill me..) 22 cm wide and 26 cm tall. The distinctive feature of the box is that it opens like a book, showing the lucky owner something like additional art and a bit of accompanying info. Something from the realm of, you know, that not everything is peaceful in the Danish kingdom. This box is more
