First Impressions
With nothing else to do, I clicked on the suggested link and... Got stuck all weekend) The game is really engaging. The graphics might seem a bit outdated, but let's not forget that this is Flash, and for it, such graphics are new, as is the 3D itself.
The first thrill from the shootout has passed, and I started to look around. I immediately noticed several tanks of different colors, and then I saw a tank with (oh horror!) a flamethrower! Naturally, my hands itched) A sense of purpose arose in a separate universe - accumulate crystals and gain ranks.
As I progressed, I found out that both armor and weapons can be upgraded. Various temporary bonuses for crystals were immediately dismissed as unprofitable. The tank's color is a personal matter for everyone, but for stealth, it's better to stick with the default or buy protective gear later) Currently, the game has four weapons and four types of armor, and I'll share my thoughts about them, as well as tactics on different maps)
So, let's talk about the weapons. At the very beginning, we have a regular tank weapon proudly named "Smoky." With a wide damage spread and high (infinite) range, this weapon is fantastic. You can use it for a long time, or even always. The flamethrower. Very short range with average damage, it can only be effectively used in close combat; I could only manage it on Forest. Plasma. VERY strong and fast-firing weapon. Definitely a must-have everywhere... Except in team battles on open terrain. A range of 50 meters is good, but it doesn't shoot across the entire map. And lastly - the fear machine) Essentially, a railgun from Quake. It fires slowly, has high damage, and an infinite range. I haven't reached it yet, but, according to rumors, it can really only be used in team battles, and it's very expensive to upgrade.
Armor. You can immediately discard the first armor; the starting ten crystals are enough to buy the second right after obtaining the first rank) The second one has more hits. Then comes the dilemma. The third armor is the thickest. BUT. It is also the slowest and least maneuverable. I took it for the armor, but later I will get the fourth one. It has 10 hits less and 20 on maximum upgrade. But it is twice as fast and more maneuverable than the previous one. The choice is yours; you will have time to think, as the rank required is not small)
Now about tactics. In meat mode, it's best to go in with Smoky; you can skip the flamethrower, but you can also take it - it's cheap. However, the flamethrower is effective only on one map, Forest. Upon reaching the corresponding rank, you should immediately get Plasma; there will always be suitable targets at medium distances. The railgun is not very good for meat mode; in a one-on-one shootout, you will likely be shot. However, you can steal kills with the railgun; it shoots through, and two tanks shooting at each other on the same line, if they have already taken more than half of each other's hits - those are your potential two kills)
In a team, it’s all more complicated... If the battle is on Forest, you can try with Plasma or the flamethrower, but on larger maps, Smoky and the railgun rule. The usual tactic is to take a firing position in bushes/near a wall/around a corner and shoot any movement across the map. Even with Plasma, it’s not that easy to get to the enemy, at least on Titan (the third armor), and taking fast armor hoping you won’t be hit is questionable. Raids from both sides only happen for crystals, or under bonuses; if you simultaneously consume bonuses for damage, armor, and speed, there’s a decent chance to make two or three kills in one raid, but it’s best to do this under fire cover and in a group..
Here’s a little overview I wrote for you, I wrote everything myself, all mistakes are mine) We are waiting for the game creators to expand the list of weapons, armor, and generally, new features)
