Sineus Arena Survivors launches on Steam in June 2026
Sineus Games has announced Sineus Arena Survivors, the first game in the new Russian media franchise Sineus. Yes, even though this is the team's debut project, the developers hope to make it the starting point of a large universe that they plan to further develop through games, animation, books, and other media formats.
About the Project
Sineus Arena Survivors expands on the survivors-like game formula that has captivated millions of players worldwide for several years. Instead of the familiar top-down format, the game shifts the genre to third-person perspective and adds co-op play, dynamic base building, Tower Defense elements, and fast-paced, immersive runs, marking a significant advancement within the genre following the success of the hit project Megabonk.
At the center of each match is the Beacon, a magical lighthouse and the heart of the Stronghold. As long as it stands, the team has a chance to survive. Players fight against hordes of darkness, build structures in real-time during waves, assign roles, rescue fallen allies, and choose whether to complete the run by defeating the boss or to risk everything for a record in the global ranking.
Key Features
- Co-op for up to 4 players
Team interaction is at the heart of the game. Collaborative building, role assignment, and ally resurrection turn each session into a tactical confrontation against the hordes of darkness.
- Base and Beacon Defense
Unlike traditional survivors-like games, the death of a hero does not always mean the end. As long as the Beacon is protected, the team can continue fighting. The base becomes not just a setting but an integral part of survival.
- Building During Waves
Players construct workshops, barracks, shops, and other buildings in the midst of battle. Every decision affects the pace of the match, the strength of the team, and the chance to survive the next wave.
- Third-Person Perspective
The third-person camera enhances the scale of the hordes and makes the arena physically palpable. Jumps, dodges, boosts, flying, and terrain manipulation turn movement into a tactical element.
- Two Paths to Victory
Players can seek altars, reach the boss's lair, and clear the map. Alternatively, they can stay near the Beacon, fight to the last, and battle for a position in the global leaderboard of records.
The World of Svemir
The events of Sineus Arena Survivors unfold in the world of Svemir, where players will fight against the Hmar, protect the Beacon, and uncover the story of the peoples who survived the catastrophe. This dark fantasy universe is inspired by ancient Slavic legends, complete with its own lore, races, worlds, and epochs.
At launch, players can expect 10 heroes from 5 unique factions, each with its own visual style, architecture, and gameplay characteristics for buildings, which include 13 varieties.
“In Russia, there are many strong teams, artists, writers, and developers, but almost none of their own gaming universes that could live for decades - at the level of large global franchises, where games become just the first door into a vast world. We are building Sineus precisely like that: not as a single release project but as a new universe with heroes, peoples, myths, conflicts, and future stories. Sineus Arena Survivors is the first entry point. We want the Russian audience to finally have its own major fantasy franchise that is interesting to follow, engaging to play, and can be revisited time and again.”
- Andrei Krylov, founder of the Sineus franchise
At this time, the main online resource for the project is the Steam page.
