Girls and Boys in MMO
Let's compare the number of breakdowns - consequences of MMO abuse
2005, South Korea. A 28-year-old guy, after losing 50 hours in Starcraft without a break, died from exhaustion and stress. 1982. An 18-year-old youth died from a heart rupture right next to a gaming machine. His heart had long been in bad shape, but who would refuse to blame the game? The same year, 2005, Shanghai. One guy stabbed another over a virtual sword - a notorious and well-known story.
In 2001, an avid Everquest 2 player committed suicide. Although there were no direct evidence linking his suicide to gaming addiction (the 21-year-old guy had enough bugs in his head without Everquest), his mother filed a lawsuit against SOE just in case. A 13-year-old Chinese boy was allowed to play WoW in vain - he jumped off a 24-story building. He decided to meet his gaming friends there, in the afterlife...
2007, again a 13-year-old schoolboy. No, he is alive, but he killed and robbed an old lady to play. He managed to obtain a whopping 6 dollars and some change. His parents took Halo 3 away from him and hid it in a safe, for which he shot them with a revolver he found near the game. "Fresh", last year's murders: a 27-year-old guy killed his tiny daughter because she snatched and broke a game console, and a two-year-old girl was beaten to death with a game controller, with no explanation given.
And, of course, how can we discuss this without mentioning GTA? A fan of the series took a revolver from a police officer, shot three law enforcement officers, and then crashed through the wall of a police station in their car. Quite in the spirit of the series.

Isn't it strange that the female gender in this chart plays exclusively a passive role? Where are the news about girls who committed suicide due to being kicked out of a guild? Where are the maniac robbers, snatching wallets from passersby to visit a gaming club? Where are the fierce valkyries, smashing the skulls of their husbands who dared to ask for food in the middle of a raid?
It seems to me that two conclusions can be drawn from the above facts. Either men completely lose their minds much more frequently and thoroughly, and therefore, they should be allowed to play games with caution and precautions. Or women, due to their inherent meticulousness, are better at covering their tracks (at least, they do not hide corpses in the sandbox in front of their own door).
In any case... girls! Play! It’s completely safe for us! But many men are already having their fragile psyche broken by Aion’s place in the top and the medals.
