Guide and Tips for Dota 2
This guide is suitable for everyone: from beginners who have no idea what Dota is, to enthusiasts who have spent many hours in the game. I wrote all this over about a week, during which I was constantly distracted by lawn mowing, trips to unknown places, and other matters. I hope this post will be helpful to you. Many already have Dota 2, but they either do not play it or have only played a little, not understanding all its charm.

Dictionary of terms and abbreviations
Although I tried not to use abbreviations and terms characteristic of Dota (or described them in parentheses), some things may still be unclear. You may also encounter unfamiliar words while playing and in various guides. Some will say that some of these words are just English words, but imagine: a newbie is playing, and in chat they use a word like "taver". So, what is tavern? Is it an abbreviation or something else? They come here and see that it is a regular Tower. After all, reading Tower as "taver" is even incorrect, yet people often write it that way.
To find something specific, it’s better to use Ctrl+F.
**AFK/Away from the keyboard (afk)** - away from the keyboard/computer. Used when a player has stepped away (wants to step away) for a short time.
Aggro (aggro) - Abbreviation for aggression. Towers and creeps are AI-controlled in the game. They can switch from one hostile unit to another - "reaggro"; the phrase "I have aggro" means enemy units have switched to you and are attacking.
AoE - area spells. 500 AoE means a spell with a radius of 500.
Armor (armor) - armor, defense.
B (B) - back. Means a command to retreat. Also used to signify "I’m retreating/returning" (for example, when a hero leaves the lane to respawn).
BB/bye bye (bb) - bye-bye.
Bash (bash) - strike with a stun effect for a short time.
BD (BD, backdoor) - abbreviation for "Backdooring". This is an attempt to destroy enemy structures without allied creeps within 500 units. Many structures have protection against backdoor.

Dire - the dark side, whose base is located in the upper right corner of the map.
Disable (disable) - an effect that prevents the hero from moving, using abilities, or attacking, making them useless for a short period of time.
DoT (dot/dots) - damage over time, meaning damage done repeatedly over a certain period of time (for example, a poison).
DPS/Damage per second (DPS) - an abbreviation denoting damage per second. A measure of the damage a unit deals in one second.

Frag Stealing/Kill Stealing (frag/kill stealing) - finishing an enemy hero with the clear intention of stealing a frag from an ally who has the chance to kill that same hero.

It is also needed so that the enemy hero quickly uses all their healing items and returns to respawn. In short, it is dealing hits to an enemy who is standing with you on the same lane.

For example, "Earthshaker ss" or "Earthshaker miss" tells us that Earthshaker has disappeared and has not been seen for a while. If the hero that left has returned, they write "re".
