Company Management (translated by Insider: Company tools)
Following the discussion of Spanish gold, another article from Insider has arrived. Here's the translation; the original can be found at http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/company-tools-891723/1/20. Don't forget to vote and subscribe.
Dear citizens,
With the introduction of citizenship into the game, we have only 3 of the promised major modules left to implement: a new map, company management tools, and a new military module. We have already told you about the map in one of the previous Insiders – the new map will appear in about a week. The next module scheduled for release is the company management module, which we will discuss in this issue.
The company management module was not as highly demanded as the other features since it is only necessary for business owners. Nevertheless, we understood the serious need for improvements and tried to do everything we could. For citizens to be satisfied, they need satisfied employers, and an employer will be satisfied if they have everything needed for effective company management. The new module will bring the core idea of capitalism and the free market to eRepublic: everyone earns as much as they have worked (translator's note: that sounds more like socialism, from each according to their abilities, to each according to their labor). It is well known that it is currently impossible to find out how much a worker produced in a day, so salaries do not reflect the contribution of a specific worker.
Companies certainly pay salaries and extract profits, but that does not mean that workers receive their deserved money. Some earn more than they should, while others earn less. Some workers take care of their health and bring more profit to the company than their lazy colleagues with the same skills, yet they receive the same amount of money. Some workers earn only twice as much compared to their colleagues, whose productivity is 4 times lower. In short, all of this will soon come to an end when the new module is up and running.
On each company’s finances page, there will be several new tabs available to the manager. By the way, keep in mind that "income" is everything that comes into the company, while "expenditure" is everything that goes out of it. Therefore, withdrawing money to the owner’s account is profit for them, but an expense for the company.
In the new module, 3 types of information will be available:
- Information about the company's accounts.
Here, the company’s balance with expenses and income will be available in the selected currency for a specific time interval. It will also include data on sales in the selected currency, data on transactions in the currency market, money invested in the company and withdrawn from it, salary and raw material expenses, taxes paid, import duties, etc. In short, select a currency and a time interval – and voilà!, all information will be available.
- Sales data.
Here, all sales data for all markets where you have a license will be grouped by price. The price before and after taxes will be displayed, and net profit will be visible immediately.
- List of employees.
Here, you will find information about employee skills and wellness. Most importantly, there will now be a schedule of attendance at work and the performance indicators of a specific employee by day. It should be noted that this list will replace the current show all employees, and will be visible to everyone, not just the manager.
In general, the new tools will allow better business management. Employee productivity will be easily monitored and compensated accordingly. Attendance at work can also be taken into account. Detailed information about accounts, markets, sales, income, and expenditures will be available – all of this, we hope, will give you the opportunity to survive among other market sharks and even earn more. We plan to release this module in September.
Sincerely,
The Development Team
P.S. A sensible idea appeared in the comments to the original article - to make it possible to set a minimum wellness requirement for applicants when hiring. Perhaps they will manage to add it before September.
