When a global crisis strikes, the world desperately needs heroes. But then, when the time of prosperity and stability comes, they are gradually forgotten. This is also the fate of the main characters of Overwatch – the team-based session shooter game developed by Blizzard Entertainment. Once, the heroes who formed the core of the group called Overwatch managed to save humanity. They were hailed as saviors. But gradually their influence waned, and after decades, the once-famous division was disbanded. As can be understood, all of this was regretted later. But heroes are heroes, and they will always come to help, even if they were previously demonstratively rejected.
In general, the essence of the game is simple: two teams of 6 fight each other, trying to bring the other to their knees in one game mode or another. In some scenarios, the attacking team must deliver a payload to its destination, while the defending side must do everything possible to prevent this. In other scenarios, teams need to capture and hold control points. As for the battle arenas, they are scattered all over the world: heroes fight in the UK, and then the struggle takes them to Egypt or Japan.
In Overwatch, players will meet a variety of heroes, starting with the charming girl Tracer, who can blink several meters forward in the blink of an eye, and ending with Winston – an intelligent gorilla in an indestructible suit. Each hero plays a designated role. Winston himself is a powerful tank, the samurai archer Hanzo is a damage dealer, the lady known as Mercy supports her allies (even resurrecting them), and the robot Bastion fits perfectly into the role of a defender with its weapons. All characters have several abilities, one of which is called an ultimate. For example, Tracer throws a powerful pulse bomb that deals significant damage to enemy players, while the mechanized monk from Nepal enters a trance state that allows him to heal himself and his teammates.
